Rory Mcilroy PGA Tour

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is a golf game by EA Tiburon. It was first announced at E3 2014, and released on July 14, 2015 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, coinciding with the 2015 Open Championship.

Over the years I’d say I have become a major golf game fanatic. It began back on the Sega with European gold tour, cyber Tiger on the PlayStation and later completing very Tiger Woods game on PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. When I Heard EA had changed the franchise I was rather excited and eager to play it.

When Rory Mcilroy was first released I played it on the Xbox One and honestly have to say it ‘ for me. The swing controls weren’t sensitive enough and the graphics were extremely stuttery on the golf balls movements. Now a couple of years later I decided to give it another go on the PlayStation 4. Just from the game play and controls it was like playing an entirely different game. The controls sensitivity are spot on and the ball movement fluent.

Now to the actual game! To get it up and running the game has an automatic training session built in which ends with a nice detail of you winning the US open for Rory. The career mode itself doesn’t have any new targets than the previous tiger Woods 14 and honestly I would say the trophies and achievements are a lot easier to complete.

One major tournament I believe they should add (and have done for a long time now) is the world Match Play. For a long time now EA have given golfers a challenge mode, Ryder cup (Tiger woods II) Road to Masters/Historic masters moments (Tiger Woods 12) tigers History (Tiger Woods 13) and historical moments (Tiger Woods 14). This time they only added a challenge mode of tricks skill Tests which personally after previous games was an extreme let down. It didn’t give a feel good fun factor.

Found it nice to see the franchise has changed but the start is a bit average 6/10
